Food Innovation: Design Thinking new Cheese

I developed an innovation curriculum and coached a team of employees from a German cheese manufacturer. Using Design Thinking, three parallel teams had the task to come up with product innovations in a specific cheese category.

While the cheese market is quite dense and there seems not so much room for innovation, the results after five project weeks with six days of coaching were quite impressive and went way beyond what market research had suggested. The six product prototypes included completely new, yet user-focused approaches to the cheese experience.

The client is currently testing and iterating the concepts. This is not one of them, but a piece of my collection of cheese experiences I researched for this project:
